Action in the game is presented from the isomeric view and it takes place in a fictional place known as Knox County, a region full of bloodthirsty creatures that have been quarantined by the government, to stop the spread of the virus that changes humans into the undead. The player takes the role of a zombie apocalypse survivor, who is trying to endure in this new, extremely dangerous reality.
